This document defines the types of clubs that CAMRA campaigns for, and aims to provide an objective standard for whether a licensed premises should be treated as a club or as an ‘other drinking establishment’.

The aim of this definition is to identify, in an objective and evidence- based manner, the essential features of what differentiates a ‘pub’ from other on-trade licensed premises where alcohol is sold.
