Summer of Pub is back!

Summer of Pub aims to support and promote pub-going throughout the summer and getting involved is as easy as planning a trip down your local!

The past few years have presented an enormous challenge for the whole sector, and venues and producers need our support like never before. Pubs are at the heart of so many communities across the UK, serving a huge range of beers, ciders and perries and hosting events that cater for every taste.

There’s something for everyone so check out the listings below to find events in your area, enter our national competitions and begin your Summer of Pub!

Get involved!

To get people down to the pub this summer we are encouraging publicans to host a series of celebratory events which we are publicising on our calendar below.

So whether you’re able to submit an event or want to search for one nearby, getting involved is just a click (and a pint) away!

Let us know you’re taking part with the #SummerofPub hashtag, and support the campaign on Twitter by adding the Summer of Pub profile picture Twibbon here.

Creative Lives

With the support of CAMRA and Pub is the Hub, Creative Lives are holding an ideas-packed event to help publicans across England welcome creativity into their pub, taking place on 28 June from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. The virtual event is free to attend and will showcase fantastic examples and case studies of pubs hosting local creative groups.

Participants will discover how welcoming creative groups could help to:

  • Reinvigorate your pub following the pandemic
  • Further establish your pub as the hub of the community
  • Help to expand your customer base
  • Create a buzz in your pub during traditionally quieter times

Come along and find out how you can get creative with your pub!

Jubilee Weekend Celebrations

CAMRA is partnering with the Good Beer Co who have crafted a limited edition Thank Brew – a 3.5% ABV Pale Ale for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations (which includes The Big Jubilee Lunch and Thank you Day). As part of the celebrations, licensed premises across the country will be selling Thank Brew in June and one hundred percent of the profits from sales goes to good causes.

Adnams Production Director Fergus Fitzgerald is providing a simple, flexible recipe to brewers looking to brew this beer in June. Brewers are invited to put their own creative spin on the drink, raising money for fantastic charities and publicity for the sector. Pubs are invited to stock the beer and organise events to celebrate the long bank holiday weekend.
