Win a ‘Brewer for the Day’ experience at the Great British Beer Festival

Attendees at this year’s Great British Beer Festival, taking place from 2-6 August at Olympia London, will have a unique opportunity to win a ‘Brewer for the Day’ experience at the esteemed Five Points Brewery in Hackney.

The prize will be offered at the Thursday night auction at the festival (4 August), and the lucky winner and a friend will get to spend a great day with the Brewing Director and Head Brewer. They’ll have the chance to assist with the day’s brew and will head home with their very own selection of Five Points’ favourite brews to enjoy at home.

Five Points Brewery began in a railway arch in 2013 and has grown significantly from its original 10-barrel kit, moving further south down Mare Street to accommodate the expansion with glossy new tanks and a tap room. Its reputation for quality has also grown and they were awarded Silver in CAMRA’s Golden Ale category in the Champion Beer of Britain competition in 2019.

Christine Cryne, organiser for the event says: “This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on experience with an award-winning London Brewery. If we’ve managed to whet your appetite, you can get a taste of their beers ahead of the festival by popping along to the Five Points owned Pembury Tavern, not far from Hackney Central Station. Don’t forget to try their Best, a traditional bitter using just British Goldings hops!”

The date of the brewing is agreed between the winning bidder and the brewery. If you are unable to attend the Great British Beer Festival for the auction in person, postal bids are accepted.
