The UK’s most prolific beer writers will be descending on the Great British Beer Festival to meet beer-lovers and give special talks on their titles throughout the festival week (6-10 August at Olympia London).

Kicking off on Trade Day (6 August), comedian and author of the Pub Manifesto James Dowdeswell will be on the main stage at 14.15 to entertain visitors with some stand up comedy. Festival goers can also meet authors Patrick O’Neil, Jeff Evans and Bob Steel who will be attending the festival shop to talk about their latest titles.

In addition, award-winning beer writer and broadcaster Emma Inch of Fermentation Radio will be recording a podcast on the festival’s Trade Day about CAMRA’s commitment to helping people learn more about beer.

Wednesday will see Jon Homer and Des De Moor join the crew to talk about the best London pubs to visit, and Andy Park will be at the festival on Thursday to chat through home brewing. Several of the authors will also lead specific tutored tastings based on their latest titles.

Festival organiser Catherine Tonry said: “The Great British Beer Festival offers the unique opportunity to meet with some of the most prolific and well-known authors in the beer industry. With topics ranging from homebrewing advice to walks across the Peak Districts, these experts provide valuable insight to suit any beer-lovers preferences.”
