CAMRA comment on the release of arbitration awards by the Pubs Code Adjudicator

In response to the Pubs Code Adjudicator releasing details of the first arbitration awards since pub companies agreed to work to waive confidentiality, please find the below quote:

CAMRA National Director Ben Wilkinson said: “We welcome the release of this information, something CAMRA has been campaigning for since the Pubs Code was introduced, but considering the scale of concern it still represents a lacklustre Christmas present for tied pub tenants.

“We look forward to the scheduled review of the Code taking place and to seeing tenants’ experiences – some of which highlight very dubious conduct by pub operating businesses – influencing that process.”
