Food-led pub welcoming to drinkers, with a small open plan layout of two rooms and a dining area. There is also what is claimed to be the best riverside pub garden in Yorkshire where in the summer coffee and croissants are served, along with an ice cream shack. Nearby, by the village church, is the oft photographed picturesque Marmion Tower, and outside the village is the Lightwater Valley theme park. Meals are served lunchtime and evenings on weekdays and all day at weekends, but note there is no food service on winter Tuesdays. There are two beers from the nearby Masham breweries, together with another two from other Yorkshire breweries (may be reduced to one during the winter months).
