Was a Beefeater. Later became FOX & DRAGON and then JIM THOMPSONS before becoming a Zizzi in 2006.
The Issue of the London Drinker dated July 1979 (Vol 1, No 5) contains an article “Chislehurst Crawl”, which refers to the Fox and Hounds as a “modern two bar pub selling Thomas Wethered’s Bitter on handpump.”
Dover Kent Archive’s web entry relating to the pub has a wartime picture of the pub after it had been bombed out in 1940, prior to post-war rebuilding, plus a considerable amount of earlier history. Two pub sign pictures are also included.
