Young's hotel with bars
This was originally a busy coaching inn with rooms for travellers and was a small hotel when bought by Young's in 1931. It was hit by enemy bombing in 1945 but was quickly reopened.
Today, it remains a Grade II listed hotel with 15 guest rooms, but also boasts 3 bars (all open to the public) - each with their own atmosphere and character. The main bar area is family friendly and shows all the major sporting events. The Lounge Bar is like taking a step back in time to the days of the old fashioned traditional snug bar, with wing back chairs, roaring fire and quirky ornaments.
There is a sizeable garden to the rear with wooden benches.
Breakfast is served 7 to 10.30 am Monday to Saturday. Lunch is served noon to 4 pm Monday to Saturday. Dinner is served 4 to 9.30 pm Monday to Saturday. Sunday roast is served noon to 9 pm Sunday . Afternoon tea is served noon to 5 pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Historic Interest
Current building dates originally from the 1750s and replaced an older inn with the same name located by the main crossroads (the main road to Bromley was previously called Bull Lane). Connected with the Neville family, who were Lords of the Manor of Chislehurst, their crest being a bull's head. Grade II listed in 1954 by Historic England, which states: "Early C19. 2 storeys. 7 windows. Bed brick. Parapet. Hipped tiled roof. Windows in rusticated stuccoed surrounds with keystones over and glazing bars intact, the South-Easternmost window being a tripartite window. One bay on ground floor. Brick pilaster at the South-East end. Rusticated stuccoed quoins at the North-West end. The 3 window bays to the right are recessed and the join between the 2 sections has similar quoins back to back. 2 doorways in painted architrave surrounds with doors of 6 moulded panels."
