Historic Interest
Built in 1820 on land below the Priory on the river bank near the ferry. The precise location is unknown but the site is now part of the Cammell Laird site. Trade declined in 1840 following the opening of the railway to Chester. Listed in Bagshaw’s Directory of 1850. The pub closed in 1870.
