Busy town centre Wetherspoon's with a large modern bar and outside courtyard drinking area. The pub takes its name from a previous resident, the firm of W & T Avery, manufacturers of brass balances and other weighing machines. A popular meeting place for shoppers, office workers and local residents, good value food is served all day until 11pm. Discounts on guest real ales all day on Monday and Saturday. Real Cider or Perry sometimes available.
