A 15th century inn set in the picturesque village of East Coker. Beamed bar and open fireplace and log burner.
Locally sourced home-cooked food, prepared to order. Food can also be taken in a separate area up a few stairs known as the Apple Loft.
In the warmer months you can also enjoy a drink in the pleasant garden.
Although food-orientated, locals are catered for and a skittle alley in a separate building is kept busy with league play.
There is a reasonably sized car park but can often be full and parking on the village street can be tricky. Beware the small stream when parking!
