This spacious, well-appointed country inn is named after a local dame who was controversially sentenced to death by Hanging Judge Jeffreys for harbouring fugitives from the Monmouth rebellion. It is located on a green set back from the road, offers good pub food, and welcomes children until 9pm. The bar areas are to the right on entering and the restaurant to the left. A large conservatory adjoins the restaurant providing ample seating space for diners. The large beer garden features a children's play area and views over the adjacent lake. It is especially popular in summer and is a good base for a pub walk.
