17th century pub with pictures of old Gloucester, popular for meals. It was enlarged by incorporating the adjacent shop that was one the workplace of the 'Tailor of Gloucester', immortalised by Beatrix Potter. Meal times may vary.

Established as a public house since 1680 and originally called the Sword, later the Spirit Vaults, Union Inn and then The Sword again after 2010. List Entry Number 1271928.
