The Sisters Freehouse (formerly Dick Whittington's) is a community driven, dog-friendly pub. Operating as an independent free house, it features a large beer garden and an emphasis on live music, creativity and community.

The imposing 18th century brick frontage of this Grade I listed building hides a 15th century structure that was the Whittington family town house until 1546. It has a spacious medieval interior.

Historic Interest

Grade I Listed. Built late 15th century as a merchant's house, then a shop & dwelling before becoming a pub in the mid 20th century. Elizabeth I reputedly stayed at The Dick Whittington in 1574 and the paintings to decorate the house for her visit are still in the accommodation above. Historic England List UID: 1245074
