Family run traditional ale house. Popular with cyclists, cathedral visitors and fans attending Gloucester Rugby home matches. Up to ten real ales, twelve still ciders (mix of real/other) and six craft kegs on at all times. Selection of cans also available some covering rarer beer styles (imperial porter etc.).
Multi award-winning for beer quality being a GBG pub for over 10 years and winning Gloucestershire CAMRA Pub of the Year Multiple times. Has also won, Gloucester City Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year awards.
Whilst the pub does not serve food you may find a food wagon in the courtyard on Gloucester rugby match days. You are welcome to bring your own food in.

Historic Interest
Dating from 1679 and Grade II Listed. The pub has always been known as the Pelican Inn though for a brief period (under the ownership of Banks's Brewery 1995-1999) it was called The College Arms. Grade II listed UID: 1271735
Licensed as an alehouse in the 17th-Century, people believe that some of its beams could have come from Drake's Golden Hind which began life as the Pelican. Rescued and refurbished by Wye Valley Brewery in 2012.
