The Red Lion, is a traditional 16th century country inn in a picturesque setting by the River Wharfe and Burnsall Bridge, run by Daniel Thwaites. Deceptively large inside with facilities for weddings, functions and conferences, the central bar area is panelled in oak, with an unusual long bench seat opposite the well-stocked bar. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available either in the pub itself or in the nearby Manor House and self-catering cottages are available for longer stays. The Red Lion is on the Dalesway long-distance footpath and the Way of the Roses cycle route.
