Situated in the centre of this popular Dales village, the Black Horse is a 17th century inn. It was known as the King William IV until the end of the 18th century and later as the Prince Albert. A room at the rear of the hotel housed the Uppper Wharfedale Museum until it moved to new premises in the square in 1979. The bar area has a bright feel to it and is warmed by a large log fire. An extensive food menu is available in both the main bar and separate dining room. Accommodation comprises of 15 en-suite bedrooms. The Black Horse hosts a local ukulele group on Tuesdays, a quiz on Wednesdays and acoustic artists during an afternoon of the last Sunday of the month. Food service hours may vary, please check on the Facebook page for details.
