Small Dales hotel and gastro-pub, ideally situated for exploring the surrounding fells and Dales, walkers with clean boots welcome. There is a comfortable lounge bar and a separate dining room. One end of the main bar area is separated off as a snug, with a cosy wood-burning stove, and is usually kept free for non-diners. Accommodation is in one twin, two superior double and two standard double en-suite bedrooms. They also run a ‘village shop’ in the stables bar next to the pub, available when the pub is open, ask at the bar. Reservations recommended for evening dining.
