Formerly the Dower House Hotel and Spa, the hotel was purchased by the Inn Collection Group in 2021 and subsequently it closed for major renovation. Re-opened September 2023 as The Knaresborough Inn, newly refurbished and the bar area enlarged, and now serving real ale (though note that the two handpumps on the front bar are blank, the working pumps are on the opposite side of the bar). There is an outside seating area in attractive gardens at the front of the hotel.
