Jersey Social Club & Institute, Briton Ferry

This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

August 2023: There is no sign of a club with this name in the area and no information available on the internet. So it obviously closed a long time ago! The property at the address stated (with a wrong postcode): 229 Neath Road, Briton Ferry, Neath, SA11 2AX is a terraced house that does not look like it ever was a club house and according to two property websites (Zoopla & Move Market) has not been sold since June 1979.

There is another pub/club located about 200 meters away on the other side of the road called JK's Sports Bar with a different street number and postcode that was not on our listings. This may be the successor to the Jersey Social Club, but given the lack of evidence of this club existing and the different address & postcode, for the sake of accuracy, a new separate entry has been created for JK's Sports Bar.
