The George is an historic 15th Century coaching inn built in 1495 complete with oak beams and inglenook fireplaces and situated in this historic village opposite Dorchester Abbey and museum. In the friendly front bar there are two regular ales and one guest ale. The premises have often been used for TV and film locations especially Midsomer Murders and Miss Marple. Breakfast served in the restaurant 7am-9am Mon-Fri, 8am-10am Sat-Sun.
