Friendly one-bar traditional Cotswold free house and restaurant, tastefully modernised. Splendid views across the valley to Painswick. Closed on Sunday evening.
Entry is via a path from the large car park into a lobby area. There we found blankets and cushions, presumably to make life more comfortable should you decide on the terrace on a less than hot day.
The ladies and gents’ toilets are found on the left side of the lobby. To the right is a door into the space which is all open plan but can be seen to have previously been 3 rooms. The bar is to the left where the licensee can usually be found serving drinks.
There is a focus here on good, reasonably priced food.
The tables close to the windows enjoy far reaching views across the valley and if you happen to be there during warm dry weather, moving outside to the terrace really does include some breath-taking views/scenery.
Note all dogs excepting assistance dogs are not permitted.
Opening and food serving times are correct as of 19/10/2023, and as is increasingly the case in the post Covid world may be variable based on custom
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
