Premises occupied by Living Cafe during day and alehouse in evenings.
Sandwiched between Earls and The Druids Arms in Earl Street in the noisy entertainment centre of town. This is The Living Cafe during the day, then transforms into a micropub style alehouse in the evening by forming a temporary bar counter, re-erected daily, from wooden pallets on their sides. In one corner is a wooden stillage for 4 casks with jacket covers, arranged in two tiers and serving ale by gravity dispense. Ales are sourced from Kent microbreweries. It has only a small area on the ground floor but there are additional tables and seating downstairs. A small fridge contains a varied range of bottled (some of which are bottle conditioned) and canned beers which may come from further afield.
