Historic Interest

Dating from at least 1850 when it was listed in Bagshaw’s Directory. A Cains pub going to Peter Walker in 1922, nicknamed the Flat Iron. The photos are around 1890 and 1910. Closed 17 October 1966 and demolished, the site is near the entrance to the bus station.
