Possibly built in the interwar period, it has a timbered frontage with a central gable. The interior comprises a single L-shaped bar with original ceiling beams and a parquet floor. There are sports TVs and a pool table. On the left side is a small paved patio.
Historic Interest
Situated within the Countesthorpe Conservation Area and close to the parish church of St Andrew. Formerly owned by Stretton's Derby Brewery; it came into the ownership of Ind Coope of Burton-upon-Trent in 1934. Signs on the exterior include the date 1846. but the pub has an interwar appearance.
