This Pub is Permanently Closed
Smart L-shaped country pub looking good after a recent refurbishment following a prolonged period of closure (Aug 2015). Small front bar area plus a lounge area at the side with a mix of high-back leather-type chairs and sofas. This leads onto a patio area at the rear overlooking a meadow area owned by the pub. From the lounge there is an entrance to an extension used as the main restaurant, where home-cooked food is served all day.
Technically in Dorrington, though it's out on a limb over half a mile north of the main village centre. Over time, the Bridge has been in the ownership of a brace of local breweries, the Wrekin Brewery of Wellington, together with the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery.
Update May 2019: Most of the original pub now demolished leaving only a small part standing, presumably intended for furure use.
