Comfortable roadside pub with car park at rear (access through The Common off the A49). The large public bar is divided into various areas including one for the dart board. It is decorated with military and nautical memorabilia and has multiple log burners. Bar snacks mainly in the form of pork pies are usually available. Once a Good Beer Guide regular, appearing in 15 consecutive editions from 1989 to 2003. The former lounge bar which had been used as a pool room under the previous landlord has now been converted into a smart little restaurant.
