This Pub is Permanently Closed

Closed January 2019. Site planned for re-development.

Basic, rectangular pub divided into lounge, bar and pool/darts areas. Built in 1962 to service the surrounding housing estate. It was once a part of the large local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery.

No hand-pulled ales usually available, though cider lovers may find a Westons handpump serving competitively-priced cider.

A little bit of history as well... Handpulls were installed in 2009 until 2013. Then again in 2016 / 2017. There were 3 handpulls, with permanent Shropshire Gold and two that changed weekly.

Sold by Punch Taverns in Jan 2019 with an ACV in place and the pub still trading. Then locked up and left to decline. Although just wet-led, it was a well-used and profitable pub at the point of closure.
