This large restaurant/pub was built in 2014 as part of Marston's Milestone Carvery brand. It's imaginatively set out with about 7 different areas, some secluded and some not (though it may just remind you of similar purpose-built edge of town Marston's establishments). The pub is located at what is now the busy northern end of town in between KFC and the Arriva bus depot, opposite Tesco and Park & Ride (overshadowed by a recently built showroom structure, such is the development in the area (Oct 2016)).
Food is served until 10pm from the Main Menu, and the carvery is from 12 until 9pm daily. It has been very popular with diners since Day One, booking is recommended (some tables can be booked online).
Although well supplied with handpulls, real ale is not always available.
Historic Interest
Featherbed refers to the nearby Featherbed Lane, some people believe the name has Battle of Shrewsbury connections (fought nearby in 1403), but it's more likely to be derived from an original meaning referring to a soft thoroughfare over marshy ground.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
Featherbed, Shrewsbury
