Station bar opened 2021 on Platform 2 (York-bound) of Knaresborough's Grade II listed railway station. This is an award-winning renovation of an old railway building, comprising two rooms, a large room and a snug. At the back of the larger room a bar constructed of old railway sleepers with a length of railway track at its foot, has four handpulls at the front, serving a good mix of cask ales, often including a dark. There are six keg lines, some of which sometimes dispense KeyKeg beers. On the bar there are pork pies and sausage rolls supplied by a local butcher available to purchase. A train indicator board on the wall behind the bar will help to ensure you don’t miss your train.
NB. This pub no longer displays prices of its cask ales; you may have to ask for prices at the bar. Note also that a small premium (10-20p/pint) is charged on half pints. A 10% discount is offered to Railcard holders and train staff on all drinks.
