Historic Interest
The original Beehive seems to have been named around the 1870s and was run by the Miller family for the first 30 years of its existence, showing on the 1896 Ordnance Survey map as a Beer House (B.H.). Destroyed by fire in early 1992 the building was demolished and a new Beehive Inn built on the site, featuring in the Good Beer Guide in 1995, 1996 and 1997. The pub closed in mid-2010, and reopened in 2011 as the Blue Sari (an Indian British Fusion restaurant) which closed in early 2020. Change of use of the ground floor to serviced offices was granted in March 2021.
