Country inn on the road out of Ripon towards Boroughbridge, this is an eating destination though it caters well for casual drinkers too. One end of the building is a popular restaurant, the other is a drinking area furnished with low leather sofas and low tables. The pub is decorated with old blow lamps, farming, livestock and beauty spot pictures while the restaurant has a collection of farming implements. Three handpumps serve two regular beers, a third locally sourced changing beer may be added at busy times.
