Bar and bottle shop opened September 2023 serving three cask ales mainly from smaller local breweries together with five keg beers, cans, and bottles. A small room downstairs accommodates the bar and bottle shop while upstairs there is much more space with two small rooms and a much larger room at the back. Current beer selection, together with ABVs and prices, is displayed on the wall behind the bar. Food is not served but pizzas can be ordered from the Italian restaurant opposite for consumption in the pub.

Grade II listed building. Served as the Town (Council) House from 1835-1851 and the Borough Police Station (1875-1887).
