Housed in an 18th Century coaching inn, beautifully renovated in a modern idiom, in the centre of historic Ripon between the cathedral and the Market Square. Timothy Taylor's most northerly tied house, the Royal Oak serves a top quality range of the brewery's beers alongside one other pale from another Yorkshire brewery. Separated into relaxed dining areas with log burning stoves and comfortable seating, with a first class locally sourced menu. Accommodation is available in six stylish and comfortable bedrooms including a hearty English breakfast. The pub is open to all for breakfast, and licensed from 11am (noon on Sundays). At the Obelisk in the nearby Market Square at 9pm every night the Ripon Hornblower sets the night watch as has happened each night for 1,000 years.
NB. This pub does not display prices of its cask ales. You are advised therefore to ask for prices at the bar before ordering.
