This Pub is Permanently Closed

Formerly a traditional pub in this small village in the lower Ure valley between Boroughbridge and Green Hammerton, the pub was saved from abandonment some years ago and resurrected as a food-led establishment, and then again in 2017 refurbished and re-invented as a dining kitchen with drinks.

Tastefully decorated, the front bar area is stone-flagged, while boarded at the rear to the right-hand side with tables laid out for dining; there are two open rooms at the front for dining too. The L-shaped bar is constructed from painted boards with a tiled top, and houses two handpumps at the front serving two regular beers from Dark Horse brewery.
