Popular community pub that re-opened on 26th July 2023 as a Craft Union pub with the emphasis on live sports coverage on TV. Dartboard is now available.

Wide schedule of events are being planned to include bingo nights, quiz nights, live music, DJs and tribute acts.

Cask ale range is limited to two.

Historic Interest

Rebuilt in 1936 in Mock Tudor design following road widening and re-opened by Courage & Co. Stands on the site of an earlier beer-house dating from the late 1860s and believed to named after General Gordon, who achieved fame at that time with his military reputation in China.
