Bar and bottle shop opened 2023 serving three cask ales mainly from smaller independent breweries together with a real cider and eight keg beers, cans, and bottles. Current beer selection, together with ABVs and prices, is displayed on the wall above the bar. A small room downstairs accommodates the bar and bottle shop while there is more seating upstairs in two small rooms and a much larger room at the back. A covered and heated courtyard to the rear provides some further seating with an outdoor feel. Cold food platters are available Friday to Sunday including cheese and meat boards, ploughman's and pies. Alternatively, hot meals can be ordered from certain local restaurants for consumption in the pub.

Historic Interest

Grade II listed building. Served as the Town (Council) House from 1835-1851 and the Borough Police Station (1875-1887).
