Previously the St. George dating from at least 1850 when it was listed in Bagshaw’s Directory. Renamed George & Dragon by 1850. A former Birkenhead Brewery pub, later Peter Walker serving Tetley beers into the 1980s. The older photos are from 1900 and 1911.
