The Nelson is a cosy, amiable, good old fashioned pub with a vibrant atmosphere and a great restaurant. Blending a country feel of wooden floors and terracotta tiles with stylish wall coverings, the Nelson combines a feeling of times gone by with informal modernity. The central bar and separate dining area merge to form a chattering assemblage at busy times.

Historic Interest

In 1855, the Lord Nelson was fully licensed under R. Thorpe and in 1876 the publican was Alfred Shaw (Post Office Directories).
