This Pub is Permanently Closed

Former medieval pilgrims' inn re-licensed in 1778. Makes little concession to late twentieth century, though small bar is comfortable. The "Great Cellar" dates from 1200 - a strong vaulted crypt that serves periodically today as the "Monks Bar". NO REAL BEER.
