This Pub is Closed Long Term
Beautifully restored old pub, a roadside inn that has its roots in the 18th century and has changed little over the last 60 years. The tiny bar is virtually unchanged near a small tap room is created by two venerable curving settles around a wood-burning stove, and steps down lead to a snug and then to an old cellar, available for functions. The garden has a well and the remains of a smithy. The main road has moved a few yards, leaving the old Ermin Street empty if not exactly quiet. A pub on the CAMRA National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. Guest beers in summer only. Closed on Mondays.
