This part tile-hung wayside inn, situated at busy Pennington Cross, was built in the late 1700s. It had a refurbishment inside & out when new licensees took over in 2016. The beamed interior has two bars; the main public bar serves a general seating area with settees, tables, panelled walls and an open fire, whilst the other is set out for eating. Food consists of a varied modern pub grub menu, supplemented by home-made sausage rolls and other snacks. Outside there is patio seating area, including a large covered smoking area, plus a large, enclosed beer garden at the rear with a children's play area. Award winning dog friendly pub with snacks and beer for dogs. Local artists work is displayed in the restaurant area.
