Built in 1909 as a billiards hall on the corner of Fulham High Street and Church Gate, the building was transformed into a Firkin brewpub before becoming an Irish theme bar then a sports bar. It was given its current name when cask ale was restored after refurbishment in late 2006.
The building's amazing high ceilings and stained glass have been highlighted, together with new decor, lighting and furniture, in comfortable airy lounge areas and formal dining areas. The pub inside might be described as "industrial chic".
Food includes lunchtime wraps & subs, and the main menu is of the pizza/burgers/wings type. There is a separate kids menu.
Last refurbed in 2023. As of early 2024 it was reported that the venue no longer sold any cask ale.
