Town centre single-roomed sports pub. There are four hand-pulls serving real ale although there are usually only two beers on available. Very popular for watching sports on TV. Quizzes and live music are held on an occasional basis. The pub is close to the railway and bus stations.

Opening hours are those stated on the pub's Facebook page. However, in April 2025, a report was received that it opened at 3pm on the Tuesday it was visited. The pub's current opening hours require verifying.
