Formerly the Rose & Crown, this pub re-opened as the Black Hat in November 2014. The name is derived from a fund-raising cricket match first held in Ilkley in 1880 where one team identified itself with black hats. The pub has retained its open plan layout but has been given a modern but traditional revamp. The emphasis is on dining and socialising. The food is freshly cooked using well-sourced ingredients and a full range is offered from breakfast through to evening meals. Roasts are available on a Sunday. There are four handpulls serving real ales. Live sports are shown especially for major events.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
