Popular and comfortable side-street pub in the Market Town Taverns group that opened in 1999, having been converted from a former china shop. Modernised in 2024 to appeal to a younger clientele and comprises a music free bar area, a basement seating area and outdoor seating. There are four regular and two guest cask ales which feature a good variety of beer styles, many from Yorkshire breweries. There are also twelve keg taps. A wide range of good foreign beer is offered. Food is by "Slap & Pickle" and focusses on burgers, wings and loaded fries. A pub quiz takes place on Monday nights.
