Bar & Charcuterie.
Opened in August 2015, this specialist beer, wine, charcuterie and cheese bar serves deli-style food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere with a rustic but comfortable feel. The front room houses the bar, deli counter and a small seating area. There are additional seating areas in the back room, which includes a real fire, and in the basement room, which is also available for private hire. The hand-pulls serve up to four (but usually three) cask ales from an ever varying range usually sourced from regional brewers, but occasionally also from further afield. Fourteen taps on the back wall also serve an eclectic range of craft keg beers from independent brewers and can include a real cider. The fridge has a good range of UK and European craft beers. A large range of bottles is also available. A table is usually required and continental-style table service is offered. The establishment can be busy with diners. A number of events, usually focussed on food and drink, take place during the year and details are available on the website. There is a monthly jazz night. The art displayed on the walls is often for sale. Card payments only.
