This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Private members club, founded in 1897 when the land and funding were provided by Sir Oswald Mosley. The original building now houses two snooker rooms, with later extensions accommodating a smart, comfortable lounge bar (the Burnside Coffee Lounge during the day), and the Main Hall, with stage, dance floor, and its own bar. The latter (capacity 150) is available for hire. There is a separate bowling green, with a new small pavilion, to the rear.
Meals limited to breakfasts, light lunches, cakes, tea and coffee. Line dancing Monday; Fit Steps Tuesday; yoga and quiz night Wednesday; whist Thursday; bingo Friday; live music twice a month on Saturdays. The Club also hosts village events, such as Annual Gala Day on the August Bank Holiday. Details of all events, and subscription rates, can be found on the website.
