Opened in 2018 by the Blythe Brewery, this micropub and taproom in the centre of Stretton has recently (November 2024) been taken over by Karen & Fraser Chatburn. However, the convivial atmosphere remains, opening hours have been extended, and while Blythe Brewery beers are still available, beers from other local microbreweries have been introduced. The front entrance is shared with the adjacent hairdressing business.
The large single room features an unusual slate-topped and metal-fronted bar counter, some cinema-style folding seating, and a strange fabric stag’s head mounted 'trophy style' above the entrance doorway.
No pub car park, but some limited parking on Hillfield Lane, and there is a small public car park off The Green nearby (~100m).
Historic Interest
Reportedly a Co-op store initially, then a video rental shop, and later a hairdresser’s.
This Pub serves 5 changing beers (Usually two from Blythe, the rest mainly from other local microbreweries.) and 0 regular beers.
