The oldest pub in Eynsham (as opposed to the oldest building in use as a pub, see White Hart). There was a pub on this site from the late 16th century, known as the Angel until 1750. Listed grade ll and occupies an imposing location in the main square next to St Leonard’s Church. A former Morrell’s pub, it is under new management since May 2022. Car parking is very limited in the Square and now seems not to be controlled but is shared with the church.
